Export Compliance Specialist

Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is seeking a highly skilled Export Compliance Specialist to join our team. As an Export Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive export control program that ensures compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Export Control Program: Create and maintain a robust export control program that includes policies, procedures, and training for all employees.
- Conduct Risk Assessments: Identify and assess potential export control risks associated with PNNL's research and development activities.
- Provide Training and Support: Develop and deliver training programs for employees on export control regulations and procedures.
- Monitor and Report Compliance: Monitor and report on compliance with export control regulations and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with PNNL's research teams, management, and other stakeholders to ensure that export control requirements are integrated into all research and development activities.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as international trade, law, or a related field.
- Experience: 7 years of experience in export compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related field.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of export control regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
