Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Sustainability Specialist/Environmental Compliance Manager to join our team at Energy Northwest. This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and administering environmental programs to ensure the safety of our facilities and protect human health and the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement environmental programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to management on environmental regulatory issues and industry guidance.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure environmental monitoring requirements are met and reported.
  • Develop plans for programs, projects, audits, testing, and inspections; lead audits and inspections.
  • Perform regulatory analysis and notify appropriate organizations of changes in environmental regulations.
  • Monitor plant events for impact on regulatory requirements and provide assistance in determining reportability.
  • Provide technical guidance to other engineers and serve as a mentor.
  • Integrate design, regulatory, operating, maintenance, and administrative requirements into tasks.
  • Participate in the Emergency Response Organization and support the biennial refueling outage.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or related technical field.
  • Three years of experience in an environmental related field for Environmental Scientist role.
  • Valid driver's license.

  • Competitive salary range: $90,048 - $135,072 for Environmental Scientist and $78,530 - $97,942 for Environmental Specialist.
