Position Overview:

ATI Richland is looking for an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Process Specialist to support our operations. This role is essential in maintaining our commitment to health, safety, and environmental stewardship, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. You will play a vital role in fostering a culture where safety is prioritized in every aspect of our work.

To excel in this position, you will need to adapt quickly to ATI's operational framework, demonstrate strong organizational skills, and maintain a keen eye for detail. Your responsibilities will include conducting audits and supporting the EHS team in adhering to environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance the environmental, health, and safety initiatives by collaborating with various departments to achieve the facility's strategic goals.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including reporting obligations, wastewater management, and hazardous waste disposal.
  • Conduct necessary audits such as SWTES audits, IBMS surveillance, job hazard analyses, and ergonomic assessments.
  • Deliver and oversee EH&S training programs to maintain compliance and promote safety awareness.
  • Engage in Continuous Improvement projects and utilize relevant tools to drive operational excellence.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience in structured environmental, health, and safety practices. A Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or Public Health may substitute for the experience requirement.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong project management, analytical, and data management skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and manage multiple tasks effectively within a team setting.
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with colleagues and regulatory representatives.
