Position Overview:


As the Engineering Test Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing all test initiatives assigned to the Test Lab, with a primary focus on the qualification testing of aircraft water and waste vacuum systems.

This position demands an experienced professional capable of leading and nurturing a team of Test Engineers and Technicians while ensuring compliance with rigorous aerospace standards during all testing activities.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership:
Direct qualification testing programs encompassing endurance cycles, vibration, thermal cycling, proof of pressure, and freeze testing. Manage project timelines, matrices, budgets, and dashboards.

Technical Documentation:
Compose, review, and authorize test plans, procedures, and reports. Design, develop, and document test fixtures as required to support testing protocols.

Process Development:
Formulate and document Test Lab procedures. Contribute to resource planning to guarantee the availability of essential tools, equipment, and fixtures for testing requirements.

Team Management:
Provide leadership and managerial guidance to a team of Test Engineers and Technicians. Support Test Engineers in executing tests efficiently and effectively.

Talent Development:
Cultivate talent within the team to ensure expertise in conducting various development and qualification tests. Promote a culture of continuous learning and enhancement.

Safety and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with company safety protocols and aerospace industry standards throughout all testing operations.

Qualifications Required:


A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is typically required unless local laws/regulations state otherwise, along with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, an Advanced Degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience or, in the absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is acceptable.

Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous engineering experience in qualification testing (preferably with water and vacuum systems).

Experience in the aerospace industry is preferred.

Familiarity with LabVIEW.

Experience in designing and fabricating test fixtures.

Proficiency with JIRA or similar project management tools.

Knowledge of environmental qualification testing to RTCA/DO-160 standards.

Salary Range:
The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. This range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
