Role Responsibilities:
As a Senior Avionics Design Engineer, you will:
- Engage in hands-on development across various avionics teams and platforms.
- Navigate through technical uncertainties and apply your expertise to select the right tools and methodologies.
- Define and manage avionics system specifications while participating in requirements management and validation processes.
- Create and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure all requirements are fulfilled.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to seamlessly integrate avionics systems into aircraft.
- Communicate project status, risks, and challenges effectively to management.
- Utilize Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles to enhance innovation and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and prepare necessary documentation, including compliance and test reports.
Work Environment:
This position is expected to be Hybrid, requiring three days a week onsite presence. Candidates must meet Export Control compliance requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
Applicants should possess:
- A Bachelor of Science degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
- A minimum of three years of experience as a design engineer with complex systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will have:
- Five or more years of engineering experience.
- Experience with avionics equipment in commercial or military applications.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex technical topics effectively.
- Experience in testing, modeling, analysis, or simulation.
- Familiarity with development assurance processes for complex aircraft systems.
- A proactive approach with a focus on delivering quality results.
Education and Experience:
Typically, candidates will have advanced technical education and relevant work experience, such as a PhD or Master's degree with additional years of related experience.
