Position Overview:


In the capacity of Test Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for supervising and directing all testing initiatives within the Test Lab, with a primary emphasis on the qualification assessment of aircraft water and waste vacuum systems.

This position demands a highly skilled leader adept at nurturing and guiding a team of Test Engineers and Technicians while guaranteeing that all testing processes adhere to rigorous aerospace regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership:
Spearhead qualification testing initiatives, encompassing endurance cycles, vibration assessments, thermal cycling, pressure proofing, and freeze evaluations. Ensure the maintenance of project timelines, matrices, budgets, and performance dashboards.

Technical Documentation:
Author, review, and endorse test plans, methodologies, and reports. Design and document test fixtures as required to support testing protocols.

Process Development:
Formulate and document Test Lab procedures. Contribute to resource planning to ensure the availability of essential tools, equipment, and fixtures for testing requirements.

Team Management:
Provide leadership and managerial oversight to a team of Test Engineers and Technicians. Guide and assist Test Engineers in executing tests efficiently and effectively.

Talent Development:
Cultivate talent within the team to ensure expertise in conducting various development and qualification tests. Promote a culture of continuous learning and enhancement.

Safety and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with organizational safety protocols and aerospace industry standards throughout all testing activities.

Qualifications Required:


A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is typically required unless local laws/regulations dictate otherwise, along with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, an Advanced Degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience, or in the absence of a degree, 12 years of pertinent experience is acceptable.

Must possess authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous engineering experience in qualification testing (preferably with water and vacuum systems).

Experience in the aerospace industry is advantageous.

Familiarity with LabVIEW.

Experience in designing and constructing test fixtures.

Proficiency with JIRA or similar project management tools.

Knowledge of environmental qualification testing per RTCA/DO-160 standards.

Salary Range:
The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. This range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
