Job Summary

The Life Enrichment Coordinator plays a vital role in enhancing the lives of residents by developing and implementing engaging programs that align with the Six Dimensions of Wellness, under the guidance of the Director of Life Enrichment.

These programs will cater to the diverse social, physical, spiritual, intellectual, environmental, and emotional needs of our residents, offering a range of participation levels and opportunities. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, including availability for evening and weekend activities.

Essential Functions
The following essential functions are typical for this position. This list is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be assigned:
1. Complete Life Story documentation on the day of occupancy agreement signing or prior.
2. Adapt to flexible scheduling, including evening and weekend activities.
3. Maintain accurate records of all volunteers in compliance with regulations.
4. Provide materials and lead activities tailored for residents with dementia.
5. Assist in planning the Life Enrichment calendar based on residents' interests.
6. Ensure activities align with the Six Dimensions of Wellness.
7. Help coordinate and supervise planned outings.
8. Manage inventory of activity supplies and equipment.
9. Organize activity areas and arrange furniture post-activities.
10. Prepare activities for the care team to facilitate with residents.
11. Encourage and promote participation in activities.
12. Contribute to the creation of the monthly newsletter.
13. Participate in Life Enrichment monthly conference calls as needed.
14. Maintain and refresh life stations and Sensory Bins in Memory Care.
15. Collaborate with residents to decorate Shadow Boxes, updating them seasonally.
16. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- 1 to 2 years of experience working with the elderly.
- Obtain and maintain a chauffeur license within 90 days of hire.
