Position Overview:

Dickinson Financial Corporation, along with its affiliated institutions, is seeking seasoned professionals in commercial banking to assist clients in achieving their financial aspirations while contributing to the economic growth of our communities. The Senior Commercial Banker will primarily focus on cultivating and expanding commercial lending relationships within the Northwest Arkansas area, providing a range of banking products including deposit services and treasury management solutions to foster a relationship-driven approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a self-sourced portfolio of commercial loans in the Northwest Arkansas region, with specific annual origination goals tailored to each banker’s expertise.
  • Utilize Salesforce for managing client interactions and pipeline reporting, ensuring the confidentiality of client data.
  • Address the comprehensive banking needs of clients by facilitating introductions to specialists in private banking, treasury management, and other relevant services.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a personal connection to the bank through introductions to a diverse team of professionals.
  • Conduct thorough analysis, structuring, risk assessment, and negotiation of commercial loan proposals.
  • Collaborate effectively with various professionals, including portfolio managers and credit analysts, to ensure high-quality service delivery and portfolio management.
  • Focus on enhancing efficiency in closing costs and portfolio maintenance by leveraging the skills of team members.
  • Mentor less experienced commercial banking associates through delegation and oversight of tasks.
  • Ensure a safe and positive work environment, adhering to all regulatory requirements and maintaining a professional image.
  • Communicate and promote corporate initiatives and the overarching vision of the organization.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information at all times.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Regular attendance at the designated worksite during standard business hours is required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration is required; an MBA or related graduate degree is preferred.
  • A proven history of success in relationship-driven business development.
  • A minimum of seven years of relevant experience in commercial lending.
  • Strong skills in credit analysis.
  • Proficiency in standard software applications, including Microsoft Office, with experience in Salesforce or similar CRM systems preferred.
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and client-focused with exceptional communication skills.
  • A collaborative mindset with a passion for expanding business in new regions.

Physical Requirements:

The work environment is typical of an office or retail banking setting, requiring the ability to perform tasks such as using office equipment and moving within the workspace. The role may involve occasional lifting and travel to various locations.
