Position Overview:

Dickinson Financial Corporation, along with its affiliated banks, is seeking seasoned professionals in commercial banking to assist clients in achieving their financial objectives while fostering economic growth within our communities. The Senior Business Banker will primarily focus on cultivating and expanding commercial lending partnerships in the Northwest Arkansas area, providing a range of banking solutions including deposit services and treasury management to support a relationship-driven strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a self-sourced portfolio of commercial loans in the Northwest Arkansas region, with specific annual origination goals tailored to each banker’s expertise.
  • Utilize Salesforce for managing client interactions and pipeline reporting, ensuring the confidentiality of proprietary client information.
  • Address the comprehensive banking needs of clients by facilitating introductions to specialists in private banking, treasury management, and other relevant banking services.
  • Build strong client relationships that enhance loyalty to the bank, not just to individual bankers, by engaging a wide team of associates and maintaining current client data in the CRM.
  • Evaluate, structure, and negotiate commercial loan applications, ensuring thorough risk assessment and compliance with approval processes.
  • Collaborate effectively with other professionals—such as portfolio managers, credit analysts, and legal teams—to ensure efficient loan closure and exceptional client service.
  • Focus on continuous improvement in cost management related to loan processing and portfolio maintenance by leveraging the skills of team members.
  • Mentor less experienced commercial banking associates through task delegation and oversight, fostering their professional development.
  • Ensure a safe and welcoming work environment that reflects positively on the bank’s image, including regular inspections and maintenance of the premises.
  • Embody and communicate the corporate vision and initiatives, particularly the six Pillars of Success.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Regular attendance at the designated worksite during standard business hours is required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration is required; an MBA or related graduate degree is preferred.
  • A proven history of success in relationship-based business development.
  • A minimum of seven years of relevant experience in commercial lending.
  • Strong skills in credit analysis and risk assessment.
  • Proficiency in standard software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in Salesforce or similar CRM systems preferred.
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and client-focused with excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex information effectively.
  • A collaborative mindset, willing to work as part of a team to enhance client relationships.
  • A growth-oriented attitude with enthusiasm for expanding the bank’s presence in the region.

Physical Requirements:

The work environment is typical of an office or retail banking setting, requiring the ability to perform tasks such as reaching, typing, and communicating effectively. Occasional lifting of up to ten pounds may be necessary. The position involves regular movement within the workspace and may require travel to client locations or events.
