Position Summary:

  • Delivers expert program and project management support focused on enhancing processes and managing standards.
  • Acts as the primary liaison between enterprise program management and IT departments.
  • Plans and executes initiatives related to program management standards.
  • Leads and coordinates cross-functional project teams effectively.
  • Creates metrics to measure standard adoption and identifies future improvement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements project management standards in collaboration with the enterprise program management team.
  • Evaluates the relevance of enterprise project management practices to IT.
  • Creates and executes change management strategies.
  • Establishes a community of practice for program and project management.
  • Maintains strong relationships with stakeholders and provides recommendations for process improvements; offers thought leadership on program management standards; facilitates sessions on project management standards; researches and suggests process enhancements based on industry best practices.
  • Handles complex technology needs of the business unit, focusing on process analysis and problem-solving.
  • Designs and recommends process and standards plans for projects or modifies existing ones.
  • Communicates and enforces policies and procedures related to processes and standards; assists in the maturation of business processes; identifies and analyzes root causes using appropriate tools.
  • Coordinates intricate process and standards solutions for internal stakeholders.
  • Participates in ongoing reviews to ensure standards adapt to changing business conditions, influencing business unit performance optimization.
  • Identifies areas for process enhancement, documents current processes, analyzes gaps, designs new processes, and develops performance measures for transitions.
  • This role is at a principal level, where the incumbent serves as a senior authority for large multi-project programs or departments.
  • Brings expertise in industry best practices and contributes to the development of broad strategies and enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Engages in special projects related to process and standards audits, compliance, and remediation.
  • Serves as a process and standards management lead on matrix project teams and mentors other specialists.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8 years of experience in IT business processes.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI.
  • SAFe Agilist certification.

Desired:

  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Experience with Project Portfolio Management tools such as Planisware.
