Job Summary

KBR is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the development and integration of complex software systems for space vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and execute the integration of software on space vehicles and enterprise systems.
  • Review and validate comprehensive test strategies, plans, scenarios, and transition plans developed by developers.
  • Ensure thorough documentation, requirements tracing, and review of all testing activities to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to maintain up-to-date schedules and align project goals.
  • Apply expertise in capabilities, requirements, and mission objectives while utilizing systems engineering skills in requirements gathering, architectural design, analysis, and testing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field (preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field).
  • 10+ years of experience working in government acquisitions in the DoD or Intelligence Community.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interface with developers, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience executing and managing end-user requirements gathering and curation activities for application development.
  • Ability to clearly articulate requirements definitions and their dispositions to senior executive government leadership.
  • Working understanding of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Agile Development techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and assist teams in requirements development activities.
  • Ability to identify key technical risk areas and translate them into program impacts.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in a STEM field.
  • Systems Engineering experience with Model-Based Engineering applications and technology.
  • Proficiency in MS Project and experience with Jira.
  • Experience with National Reconnaissance Office RFC, CM, and RIO management.
