Position Overview

SAIC's National Security and Space (NSS) Sector is actively seeking a skilled Satellite SETA Program Manager to enhance space capabilities for our esteemed Department of Defense (DOD) and Intelligence Community clientele. This role is integral to our operations, supporting various facets such as systems development, intelligence analysis, and systems engineering.

The Satellite SETA Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing a significant, multi-year contract related to an innovative space initiative. Candidates must demonstrate expertise as a Contracts Office Technical Representative, showcasing a proven track record in managing cost, schedule, and technical performance. Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Government Program Manager to strategize, implement, and supervise Developer contract activities.
  • Oversee budgetary requirements and monitor the financial performance of Developer contracts, including Earned Value Management (EVM), obligations, and execution.
  • Work closely with the SETA PM and Team Leads to identify subsystem Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and System Engineer support for effective oversight of Developer technical performance.
  • Track and report progress to various levels of Contractor and Government leadership.
  • Lead the Program Office team in evaluating Developer system engineering designs and readiness.
  • Identify and advocate for best practices to enhance the efficiency of Program Office processes.

Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
  • Experience with the Intelligence Community and/or DOD Program Office best practices is essential.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a satellite program office in key leadership roles, either as a Government or Contractor representative.
  • Bachelor's degree with 14 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree with 12 years; or PhD with 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience as a COTR, PM, PEM, or acquisition leader in Government or Commercial settings is preferred. Acquisition, PM, and COTR certifications are desirable.
  • Proficiency in budgetary management, financial oversight, and EVM.
  • Ability to lead and serve as the primary contact for multiple projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills across diverse groups and organizations, with excellent briefing and writing capabilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of senior decision-makers possessing varying levels of programmatic and technical knowledge.
  • Demonstrated skills in communication, coordination, and customer engagement.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment with minimal supervision.
