We are recognized by international bodies to supply emission reduction credits for various compliance obligations, positioning ACR as a leader in emerging compliance offset markets and the global voluntary carbon market.

Role Summary

The Technical Officer or Technical Manager for Industrial Programs is a specialized role within ACR, providing essential support to the ACR Industrial Programs Director and other team members. This position involves a range of responsibilities, including conducting detailed project reviews, maintaining comprehensive project records, and performing site audits. The successful candidate will ensure that projects are processed efficiently and accurately, reflecting ACR's commitment to high-quality service.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of GHG emissions and carbon accounting principles, and will quickly develop expertise in ACR methodologies and compliance protocols. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and project-level methodologies in various industrial sectors is essential. The role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough GHG emissions reduction project reviews, ensuring compliance with regulatory deadlines.
  • Provide coherent technical support to external stakeholders, including project developers and regulatory bodies.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project record-keeping systems and regulatory guidance.
  • Participate in site visits and audits as required.
  • Support the technical team in achieving ACR objectives, including developing internal policies and procedures.
  • For Technical Managers, lead methodology development and provide mentorship to junior staff.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders and represent ACR in various forums.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in environmental sciences, engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience for Technical Officer and 6 years for Technical Manager, with a focus on GHG emissions and carbon accounting.

Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, strong writing and communication skills, and fluency in English are required. Additional language skills are a plus.

Travel: Availability for short-term travel is necessary.

Physical Requirements: Typical office environment with standard sitting or standing requirements.

Other: Authorization to work in the United States is required.

The salary range for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
