Position Summary:

The Technical Officer or Technical Manager for Industrial Programs is a pivotal role within ACR, providing essential support to the Industrial Programs Director and other team members. This position involves engaging in various aspects of ACR's operations, including conducting thorough project evaluations, maintaining project documentation systems, and performing site audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine and complex evaluations of greenhouse gas emissions reduction projects with precision and independence, ensuring compliance with regulatory timelines.
  • Deliver consistent and coherent technical assistance to external partners, including project developers and regulatory bodies, addressing inquiries related to project implementation and verification.
  • Support the development and maintenance of systems for project documentation and regulatory compliance tracking.
  • Participate in site assessments and audits as required.
  • Engage in technical analysis and contribute to team objectives based on expertise.
  • Assist in the creation of templates, presentations, and internal policies as needed.
  • Provide administrative support for methodology updates and coordinate peer reviews.
  • For Technical Managers, lead methodology development and serve as a mentor to junior staff.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and represent ACR in external forums.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in environmental sciences, engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience for Technical Officers; 6 years for Technical Managers, with a focus on GHG emissions accounting and familiarity with industrial sector projects.

Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office and SharePoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects efficiently.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Travel Requirements: Availability for short-term travel as necessary.

Salary Range: The compensation for this role will be competitive and based on experience and qualifications.
