What you will do:

ACV Auctions is in search of a motivated and experienced Regional Sales Executive with a background in the automotive industry, a passion for vehicles, and a desire to be part of a growing organization. Our Regional Sales Executives represent our company and must possess a deep understanding of the dealership and wholesale automotive business. They are dynamic individuals who tirelessly work to expand their territory and deliver exceptional service to our clients. At ACV Auctions, we pride ourselves on trust, transparency, and credibility, which our Regional Sales Executives embody daily.
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to expand and cultivate new business within your territory.
  • Engage with accounts both in person and via phone, seeking incremental growth opportunities.
  • Utilize Salesforce regularly for reporting and tracking purposes.
  • Meet or exceed established sales targets.
  • Build relationships with dealers and dealer groups, leveraging these connections to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the competition and develop strategies to effectively sell against it.
  • Evaluate customers' wholesale inventory needs and propose solutions to enhance their business with ACV Auctions.
  • Educate clients on the extensive offerings of our products and the services available to them.
  • Forecast and report business activity on a monthly and annual basis.
  • Ensure both customers and prospects have a comprehensive understanding of our products through a consultative selling approach.
  • Maintain current customer satisfaction by promptly addressing problems, concerns, or needs.
  • Proactively market the company to clients and communicate the advantages of our offerings.
  • Be accountable for the financial performance within your portfolio.
  • Adapt to changes in your portfolio, customer contacts, and internal structure/role changes.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of Vehicle Condition Inspectors and KPIs.
What you will need:
  • A minimum of 5 years of dealership experience, either in the used or new car sector, is required.
  • Experience selling to dealerships and knowledge of auctions is strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel daily to both existing and prospective dealerships.
  • Understanding of the retail/wholesale marketplace in an operational context to effectively position ACV Auctions.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, both in-person and over the phone.
  • Recognizing the importance of cultivating internal and external networks to enhance personal effectiveness.
  • A positive and upbeat demeanor.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to shifting priorities and assist others in doing so.
  • Experience using a CRM (preferably Salesforce) to manage and plan the sales pipeline.
  • Willingness to travel for meetings, training, etc.
