Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Territory Sales Representative to join our team. As a Territory Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing and growing sales of our products within the Metro NJ/PA Home Depot stores, meeting and/or exceeding projections for overall sales and comparative store growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and Leverage Business Relationships: Build and leverage business relationships with store personnel to promote sales and comparative growth.
  • Conduct Regular Store Visits: Conduct regular store visits as determined necessary by Director of Sales.
  • Persuade Store Personnel: Persuade store personnel to offer our products to their consumers.
  • Train and Support Store Personnel: Train and support store personnel by educating them on our product and program offering, both in-store and off-site, including training on marketing programs and promotions.
  • Address Product Issues: Proactively address product, warranty and/or service issues and communicate resolution with all parties involved, including store personnel, consumer, Regional Sales Manager and our corporate team.
  • Maintain Display Presence: Maintain and update display presence in showrooms.
  • Analyze Sales Metrics: Analyze sales metrics and develop tactical and strategic sales plans to meet and/or exceed goals.
  • Review Budget: Review monthly budget and maintain/provide quarterly account business plan.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience: Bachelor's degree or 8 years of selling experience with a minimum of a High School diploma or GED.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills required, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Conflict Resolution: Demonstrated successful capability to resolve conflict over sensitive or complex issues.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with external customers.
  • Partnership Building: Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with department, cross-functional business teams, and customers.
  • Project Management: Excellent project management and budgeting skills with a deadline orientation and focus.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
  • Travel: Ability to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, independence and initiative without daily interaction with management. Ability to travel daily within assigned region and quarterly beyond region.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Lifting: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Retail Sales Experience: 5 years of retail sales or business material industry experience.
  • Sales Report Analysis: Ability to read and understand sales reports.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to build and maintain relationships with in-store designers.
