Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Environmental Field Specialist to join our team. This seasonal role will involve conducting field assessments and providing essential support for various ecological projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in fieldwork that includes biological and hydrological studies, focusing on aquatic life and habitat analysis.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of field studies, including logistical arrangements and training sessions.
- Perform field sampling and ensure the accuracy of data collection through daily quality assurance and quality control reviews.
- Familiarize yourself with established sampling protocols and regulatory requirements governing ecological research.
- Carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs across challenging terrains and varying weather conditions, including streams and lakes.
- Collaborate with a small team in remote locations, often utilizing inflatable boats and aircraft for site access.
- Provide support for administrative tasks, including data entry and equipment management.

Qualifications:
- Educational background or practical experience in Fisheries, Environmental Science, Biology, Geology, Resource Management, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong skills in field sampling, data analysis, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, along with problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Work Environment:
This position requires adaptability to remote working conditions and the ability to travel frequently. Candidates must be comfortable working in various weather conditions and capable of hiking to field locations while carrying necessary equipment.
