Job Description

Children's National Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Business Manager to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating departmental activities to ensure alignment with national standards and administrative policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Prepare and ensure the accuracy of monthly financial reports for assigned cost centers, analyze variances, and develop action plans to address discrepancies.
  • Budgeting: Assist in the development and monitoring of operating and capital budgets to ensure accurate reporting of revenue and expenses.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the formulation of departmental strategic plans, including short-term and long-term objectives, and collaborate with leadership to evaluate new program initiatives.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and implement performance metrics and evaluation tools to measure clinical contracts and quarterly performance indicator reports.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (Required) or MBA (Preferred)
  • Experience: 5 years Business Administration, Hospital Administration, Public Administration, or related field (Required) and 3 years progressive financial analytics and data modeling (Preferred)
  • Skills: Demonstrates creativity, foresight, and judgment in managing competing demands and workload; analytical ability sufficient to evaluate data, make judgments, and provide recommendations and action plans.
