Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Large Loss Adjuster to join our team. As a Large Loss Adjuster, you will be responsible for handling complex property claims, providing expert appraisals, and working with carriers to resolve disputes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations of large loss claims, gathering evidence and assessing damages
- Provide expert appraisals and recommendations to carriers and policyholders
- Work with public adjusters, opposing appraisers, and umpires to resolve contested claims
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers and policyholders
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in residential and commercial property adjusting and construction
- Strong knowledge of building codes, construction practices, and residential and commercial construction
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: CPUA, CPIA, HAAG, IICRC, NFIP, CPCU, AIC, PTC
- Experience working with Xactimate and other claims management systems
- Liability experience
