Position Overview
The Patient Service Representative plays a vital role in the operations of a medical office, ensuring a seamless experience for patients and supporting the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold and promote the mission and values of Tenet Florida Physician Services, L.L.C.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Welcome patients as they arrive at the facility, providing a friendly and professional atmosphere.
- Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, confirm bookings, and handle rescheduling requests efficiently.
- Conduct patient check-ins, gather essential demographic information, and accurately input data into the electronic health record system.
- Assist patients during the checkout process, including referral management and appointment scheduling.
- Collect co-payments and accurately process patient charges.
- Facilitate charge entry and manage patient account balances.
- Provide patients with information regarding office policies and procedures, ensuring they are well-informed about the practice.
- Guide patients through the enrollment process for the patient portal.
- Perform additional duties as required to support office operations.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in customer service, ideally within a healthcare or medical office environment.
Certifications: None required.
Note: Sign-on bonus applicable for new hires only.
