Job Title: Patient Service Representative for Tenet Florida Physician Services, L.L.C.
Position Overview:
The Patient Service Representative is a vital role within the medical office, focusing on the front office operations of the physician practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and uphold the mission, vision, and values of Tenet Florida Physician Services.
- Ensure compliance with the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and maintain confidentiality as per the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement.
- Actively participate in the Tenet Corporate Compliance Program by understanding compliance duties as outlined in the Code of Conduct, and adhere to relevant federal and state regulations.
- Welcome patients as they arrive at the practice.
- Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, confirm existing appointments, and handle rescheduling as required.
- Facilitate patient check-in, ensuring accurate collection of demographic information, and enter data into the electronic health record system while verifying insurance details.
- Assist with patient check-out, including referral processing and scheduling follow-up appointments.
- Collect co-payments and accurately post charges to patient accounts.
- Perform charge entry and manage patient balance processing.
- Provide patients with information regarding office policies, procedures, and practice-related details.
- Guide patients through the enrollment process for the patient portal.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of one year in customer service, preferably within a healthcare or medical office environment.
Certifications: None required.
Note: Sign-on bonus applicable for new hires only.
Job Type: Full-time
Shift: Day shifts available.
