Position Overview

We are looking for a committed Healthcare Customer Service Specialist to enhance the patient experience at Medix. This role is crucial in providing a smooth and welcoming environment for individuals seeking medical assistance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the patient check-in and check-out procedures with precision, ensuring a friendly atmosphere.
  • Schedule appointments with meticulous attention to patient preferences and availability.
  • Accurately collect and confirm insurance details and copayments, ensuring all financial transactions are processed correctly.
  • Welcome patients warmly and assist them with any questions or requirements they may have.
  • Maintain an organized waiting area to ensure patient comfort and satisfaction.
  • Professionally handle incoming and outgoing calls, addressing patient inquiries and coordinating with healthcare professionals as necessary.

EMR System

  • Athena

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 6 months of experience in a medical front office setting
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual capabilities
  • Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly Athena

Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Compensation

Salary range: $16 to $18 per hour
