Position Overview

We are looking for a committed Healthcare Customer Service Specialist to enhance the patient experience at Medix. This role is vital in facilitating a smooth and positive interaction for our patients.

Core Responsibilities

  • Effectively oversee the patient check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring precision and a friendly atmosphere.
  • Arrange patient appointments with meticulous attention, considering their preferences and schedules.
  • Gather and confirm insurance details and copayments, ensuring all financial transactions are handled correctly.
  • Welcome patients with warmth and assist them with any questions or requirements they may have.
  • Manage the waiting area to maintain organization and ensure patient comfort.
  • Professionally handle both incoming and outgoing calls, addressing patient inquiries and coordinating with healthcare professionals as necessary.

EMR System Utilization

  • Proficient in Athena

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a medical front office setting
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual capabilities
  • Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly Athena

Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Compensation
* $16 to $18 per hour
