Summary: Interfirst Mortgage is in search of a dedicated Producing Branch Manager to oversee and expand a mortgage sales team. This role is pivotal in enhancing profitability and operational efficiency within the branch. The ideal candidate will lead a team of NMLS-certified loan officers and will be rewarded with a competitive salary complemented by commission incentives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Development: Establish and nurture a robust network of business relationships to generate referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities.
  • Client Consultation: Engage with clients to assess their loan requirements, providing expert advice on suitable products, terms, and pricing.
  • Application Management: Ensure the generation of complete mortgage applications, adhering strictly to company policies and procedures.
  • Team Leadership: Cultivate and manage a high-performing sales team that consistently meets or exceeds mortgage sales targets, focusing on maintaining an active team of NMLS-certified loan officers.
  • Daily Operations: Supervise the daily functions of the sales team, motivating each member to achieve performance objectives.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain a steady flow of qualified leads and prospects, overseeing the process from origination to closing.
  • Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations, including managing team participation in necessary meetings and training sessions.
  • Risk Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage risks associated with branch operations.
  • Problem Resolution: Address client inquiries and resolve issues related to problematic loans.
  • Decision-Making: Make informed decisions regarding exceptions to mortgage loan policies.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with management to devise and implement sales goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and ongoing coaching to loan officers, fostering their professional growth.
  • Supervision: Oversee mortgage loan officers in the designated area, ensuring optimal performance levels.
  • Travel: Travel may be required for inter-location visits and third-party training sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent experience in the industry.
  • Experience: A minimum of five years in mortgage sales and two years in a leadership role, with NMLS registration and certification required.
  • Active Team: Must possess an active team of NMLS-certified loan officers.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated supervisory experience, including staff coaching and development.
  • Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of conventional, government, and portfolio guidelines, along with mortgage products, services, operations, federal lending regulations, and market trends.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient knowledge of FNMA-DU.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
