Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively pursue targeted Fortune 1000 and Global 500 enterprises within your designated region, dedicating 90% of your time to this effort.
  • Establish and nurture direct relationships with strategic account prospects.
  • Develop and maintain a prioritized list of strategic accounts for Staples Promotional Products.
  • Collaborate effectively with Staples Advantage, Staples Retail, Staples Promotional Products Global offices, and HQ departments to respond to Requests for Proposals (RFP), Requests for Quotations (RFQ), and other proposal inquiries to secure contractual agreements in the promotional products sector.
  • Create and deliver impactful presentations to potential accounts.
  • Implement business development strategies to convert targeted prospects into active opportunities, positioning Staples Promotional Products as the preferred choice for decision-makers and influencers in Marketing, Brand, and Procurement departments.
  • Conduct thorough research to prepare for consultative engagements with prospects, showcasing an understanding of their industries and specific challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to craft a clear, strategic sales vision and communicate it effectively.
  • Demonstrated success in business development with Fortune 500 companies.
  • Proven expertise in developing markets, sales strategies, and management plans, along with the ability to set targets and design growth initiatives.
  • Consultative and strategic selling capabilities, with the ability to engage with customers at senior levels.
  • Skill in transitioning business to Account Managers effectively.
  • Ability to articulate the value propositions of various Lines of Business to clients.
  • Strong analytical abilities, motivation, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Interpersonal and customer relationship management skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Solid understanding of business, financial, operational, and technological principles.
  • Proven team-building skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and drive results.
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in MS Windows-based applications.
  • Familiarity with Staples Promotional Products solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of progressively responsible experience leading to a sales management role in a comparable organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French (oral and written) is advantageous, though not mandatory.
