Job Overview:
Are you a seasoned Lead Engineer/Analyst specializing in Space Systems with a proven track record in supporting Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) acquisition initiatives? This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E) and Systems Engineering expertise for Space Major Defense Acquisition Programs (MDAP) and Adaptive Acquisition Framework (AAF) pathways.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Lead Engineer/Analyst in Space Systems, your responsibilities will include:
  • Collaborating with various space programs across the DoD and IC to gain insights into their initiatives, including program and acquisition plans, technical methodologies, timelines, risks, and other critical elements to effectively communicate status to leadership.
  • Articulating program status, challenges, risks, and strategies to executive leadership through comprehensive narratives, presentations, and verbal communications.
  • Assessing and comprehending the technological and engineering capabilities essential to space initiatives, recognizing how these capabilities influence and support the Joint Warfighter.
  • Working in a collaborative environment with a team of dedicated, skilled professionals.

A Typical Week:
Your week will involve:
  • Reviewing and evaluating Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), developmental test strategies, System Engineering Plans (SEPs), Lifecycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs), Acquisition Decision Memoranda (ADMs), and other key decision documents.
  • Assessing test outcomes, timelines, resources, and technological risks during program evaluations.
  • Providing integrated product team support for Test and Evaluation and systems engineering efforts.
  • Conducting Independent Technical Risk Assessments (ITRAs) and Development Test Assessments (DTAs).
  • Preparing documents, reports, and presentations aimed at senior decision-makers.
  • Understanding DT&E and R&E policies and offering insightful policy recommendations regarding DT&E.
