Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Systems Engineering initiatives with the US Space Force, focusing on the design of integration environments within a collaborative multi-contractor framework.
  • Employ Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques to develop digital products that define and enhance operational environments.
  • Utilize fundamental Systems Engineering principles to articulate requirements, perform Analyses of Alternatives, and propose innovative system designs.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Model complex system architectures effectively.
  • Engage with stakeholders to comprehend their requirements and translate them into actionable solutions.
  • Collaborate with fellow engineers to optimize feature development across various projects and conduct thorough analyses for clients.
  • Work alongside Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure the delivery of well-informed products.
  • Actively participate in agile sprint ceremonies and demonstrate developments to stakeholders.


Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise in Systems Engineering fundamentals, including MBSE and Digital Engineering methodologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership in Systems Engineering for new system development and deployment.
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Mathematics, Physics, or a related Engineering discipline, with 16+ years of relevant experience (12+ years with a Master's degree).

Security Clearance:

  • Secret clearance is required.
  • TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
  • Must be willing to undergo processing for a U.S. Government TS security clearance (including a polygraph examination).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in MBSE methodologies utilizing SysML.
  • Experience with AFSIM: Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Matlab and/or Python.
  • Prior experience in a Lead Systems Engineer role.
  • Experience in the space domain.
  • Knowledge of Mod/Sim in large-scale programs and architectures.
  • Direct experience with OneSAF, Joint Simulation Environment (JSE), and the Next Generation Threat System (NGTS).

Compensation: Target salary range is $108,000 - $193,000. Final compensation will be determined based on various factors including skills, experience, education, and certifications.
