Position Overview: The Space Domain, Sensors, Space Control and Missile Warning Analyst will take on a pivotal role in delivering project and technical leadership, analytical support, algorithm development, systems engineering, and modeling and simulation analysis for space surveillance systems, tactical command and control, and missile defense. The candidate will collaborate closely with government clients and Aerospace program office personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer technical expertise and leadership in the modeling and analysis of space domain awareness (SDA) and missile warning/missile defense (MW/MD) sensors and systems.
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses utilizing a framework of modeling, simulation, and analytical capabilities, including both proprietary and commercially available tools.
  • Evaluate electro-optical (EO), infrared (IR), radar, and passive radio frequency sensor concepts, architectures, and algorithms.
  • Engage in missile tracking and advanced threat target custody.
  • Analyze sensor constellation performance.
  • Support the technical lead for modeling and simulation efforts related to space security and defense.
  • Develop proficiency in SDA, battle management command and control (BMC2), and space operations simulation.
  • Provide independent assessments and lead collaborative studies with teams of analysts.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in mathematics, engineering, physics, computer science, or a related field, or a bachelor's degree with eight years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in systems engineering analysis of space surveillance systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in BMC2, SDA, or missile warning/missile defense mission areas.
  • Experience in modeling, simulation, analysis, and algorithm development.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, MATLAB, C, or FORTRAN.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with high-level personnel.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current TS/SCI clearance.
  • Experience with EO/IR sensors, particularly in missile warning/missile defense.
  • Operational experience in space control or related domains.
  • Understanding of electronic warfare and passive RF collection modeling.
  • Familiarity with space surveillance network sensor operations.
  • Fluency in agile software development using object-oriented programming languages.
