Position Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated Environmental Engineer to enhance our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity and compliance of drinking water treatment systems. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience (minimum of 5 years) in inspecting and overseeing water filtration and treatment installations, ensuring adherence to design specifications and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspection & Testing: Conduct thorough inspections of water treatment facilities and installations, verifying compliance with design specifications, industry codes, and standards.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside cross-functional teams to address environmental engineering challenges in various construction projects.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of inspections, prepare detailed reports, and document any deviations from standards, proposing corrective measures as necessary.
  • Coordination: Liaise with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve environmental quality and compliance issues effectively.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all engineering activities meet relevant building codes and safety regulations, while monitoring on-site safety practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Engage in the development of quality control procedures and stay updated on industry advancements and regulatory changes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental engineering, specifically in water treatment design and inspection.
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Oregon or the ability to obtain it promptly.
  • Strong understanding of construction practices and materials related to water treatment systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
