About the Role:

Otak, Inc. is in search of a Senior Hydraulics Project Engineer to enhance our Water and Natural Resources division. This role is pivotal in executing various project initiatives, including but not limited to bridge and culvert hydraulics, floodplain permitting, and aquatic ecosystem restoration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional technical expertise in bridge hydraulics, sediment transport, and floodplain management.
  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic simulations to support project objectives.
  • Draft comprehensive construction documents for transportation-related projects.
  • Generate detailed construction drawings, specifications, and cost assessments.
  • Compile design and permitting documentation.
  • Gather and interpret data for project analysis.
  • Develop studies and strategic master plans.
  • Formulate technical proposals including scope, timeline, and budget estimates.
  • Oversee task assignments and scheduling for team members.
  • Guide and assess the performance of junior team members.
  • Engage in construction oversight and engineering tasks.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a focus on Water Resources or Hydraulic Engineering is preferred.
  • At least 8 years of experience in Project Engineering within hydraulic engineering or a related discipline.
  • A valid Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory.
  • Proficient in water resources modeling tools such as HEC-RAS and SRH2D.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD or MicroStation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Otak, Inc. offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
