Position Overview

At Cogir Senior Living, we are dedicated to enhancing the lives of our residents through meaningful engagement.

Role Summary:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and empathetic Memory Care Activities Coordinator for our esteemed community, Tribute at Melford. This role involves collaborating with the Resident Lifestyle Director to develop, implement, and oversee a diverse range of enriching activities tailored for our residents in the Revere Memory Care Neighborhood.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster connections with residents through individual and group interactions.
  • Organize and lead various activities including games, fitness classes, artistic endeavors, outings, and special events.
  • Coordinate outings, such as lunch excursions, to enhance residents' experiences.
  • Assist in creating the monthly Revere newsletter in partnership with the Resident Lifestyle Director and Memory Care Director.
  • Support the management of the Revere Monthly Calendar.
  • Monitor resident participation in activities and maintain attendance records.
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding resident involvement through the Caremerge portal.
  • Adhere to all operational policies and procedures of Cogir Senior Living.
  • Assist the Memory Care Director with team training sessions.
  • Provide support to the Resident Lifestyle Director as needed.
  • Contribute to team collaboration focused on enhancing resident engagement.

Qualifications:

  • A positive attitude and a passion for working with individuals.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification as a Dementia Practitioner and familiarity with the Montessori approach is advantageous.
  • 1-2 years of experience in working with older adults, particularly in life-enrichment or Memory Care settings, is preferred.
  • Experience in making group reservations and organizing activities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with patience and compassion for residents.
  • Able to work autonomously while adhering to scheduled plans.
  • Maintain professionalism in challenging situations, treating residents with dignity and respect.
  • Prior experience in Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, or Senior Living is a plus.
  • A valid state driver's license is required.
