What to Expect:

We are seeking a dynamic, imaginative, and caring individual to fill the role of Resident Lifestyle Assistant (Activity Assistant) within our thriving Senior Living community.

The Resident Lifestyle Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the Resident Lifestyle Director by designing, initiating, and coordinating a diverse range of enriching activities tailored to our residents' interests and needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage residents in both individual and group settings, fostering a sense of community.
  • Lead or assist with a variety of activities, including social, educational, and recreational events.
  • Facilitate games, discussions, exercise sessions, arts and crafts, outings, and special occasions.
  • Contribute to the monthly newsletter's coordination.
  • Encourage resident participation and document activity outcomes as needed.
  • Assist the Resident Lifestyle Director with various tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • A positive attitude and a passion for working with people.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with patience and empathy for our residents.
  • Preferred experience of at least 6 months in a similar role, particularly with seniors.
  • Experience in memory care is advantageous.
  • Able to work independently while adhering to scheduled plans.
  • Capability to maintain composure in challenging situations, treating residents with respect and dignity.
  • Prior experience in Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, or Senior Living is a plus.
  • A valid state driver's license is required.
