Compensation Range: $57,000 - $67,000 annually

Position Summary

The Director of Intake and Client Care plays a crucial role in both clinical and administrative capacities. This position involves overseeing intake personnel, managing admissions and discharges, ensuring bed availability, and supervising the completion of intake documentation and pre-certifications. The role requires strategic direction to optimize service access, participation in staff meetings and training sessions, personnel management, team leadership development, documentation maintenance, and compliance with confidentiality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct oversight of Intake Coordinators, Case Managers, Admission Technicians, Intake Medical Assistants, Administrative Associates, Engagement Coaches, and other intake personnel.
  • Collaborate with the central admissions office to manage admissions, discharges, and bed availability.
  • Ensure daily completion of bed board census.
  • Maintain and update detox bed availability throughout the day.
  • Communicate any changes in admissions or discharges to the central admissions office.
  • Ensure intake paperwork for new admissions is completed as required.
  • Contact referral and payer sources upon admission.
  • Obtain pre-certifications as necessary.
  • Provide cross-training as backup for the Utilization Review process and manage daily census reporting.
  • Lead staff meetings, training sessions, and new employee onboarding programs.
  • Coordinate scheduling of services across all departments within the facility.
  • Manage personnel activities related to direct staff supervision, including recruitment, orientation, training, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Develop a team of capable leaders within the department.
  • Ensure accurate documentation on all shift and incident reports.
  • Oversee external trainers and services to ensure quality client care.
  • Demonstrate excellent skills in hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating support staff at multiple levels.
  • Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality regarding all company information.
  • Complete all required training as mandated by the company and relevant accreditation/licensing bodies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Supervisory Duties

This role is responsible for the daily operations of the clinical program and the training and onboarding of new staff members.

Qualifications
  • Preferred supervisory experience in a behavioral healthcare environment.
  • Experience in report writing, staff development, and the intake and referral processes.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required; a Master's Degree is preferred.
