Nutritional Services Team Leader Position at Sayre Christian Village

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Possession of a valid Food Handler's certification.
  • An associate's degree or equivalent experience in food service or hospitality.
  • A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in food and nutrition services within a healthcare environment.

Core Responsibilities

The primary duties include:

  • Ensuring cleanliness and sanitation standards are upheld.
  • Overseeing regular and specialized diets to cater to residents' unique needs.
  • Acting as a Shift Leader, supervising the activities of Prep Cooks or Dietary Attendants while fulfilling Dietary Shift Lead responsibilities.

Specific Duties

  • Adhering to standard food preparation protocols.
  • Responding to resident preferences, dietary restrictions, and current industry trends.
  • Creating and distributing weekly selective menus.
  • Managing inventory to ensure freshness and availability of food items.
  • Guaranteeing that meals meet quality standards and are prepared punctually.
  • Maintaining food safety throughout all stages of preparation and service.
  • Supervising staff compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
  • Processing new diet orders and modifications in a timely manner.
  • Collaborating with the Registered Dietitian as needed.

Additional Duties

  • Respecting and treating residents with dignity.
  • Adhering to facility policies and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Implementing safety and hygiene measures for both residents and staff.
  • Maintaining confidentiality regarding health information.
  • Reporting any policy violations or concerns promptly.
  • Participating in emergency drills and training sessions.
  • Following infection control protocols diligently.
