Outpatient Nutrition Specialist

Role Summary:
Under minimal supervision, the Outpatient Nutrition Specialist delivers expert medical nutrition therapy to diverse groups and individuals across various age ranges and capabilities, within the outpatient nutrition service sector.
This role adheres to established standards of practice and guidelines set forth by reputable organizations such as the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, USDA, and the American Diabetes Association, utilizing evidence-based resources for patient assessment, as well as the planning, execution, and evaluation of nutrition education.
The services provided encompass a continuum of care for outpatients requiring medical nutrition therapy. Collaboration with a dedicated multidisciplinary team of professionals is essential to ensure high-quality nutrition education services, including all departmental offerings. Additionally, support for outpatient diabetes education services will be provided as necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
Active Kentucky License; candidates who are eligible for licensure must obtain their Kentucky license within a specified timeframe after receiving CDR registration, unless an extension is granted.
