Job Summary

The InsideHigherEd College of Medicine seeks a visionary leader to serve as the Division Chief for Gastroenterology and Nutrition. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly accomplished academician to guide a busy clinical practice and support growing academic careers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of clinicians and researchers in the Division of Gastroenterology and Nutrition
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to advance the division's clinical, educational, and research missions
  • Collaborate with departmental and institutional leaders to promote the division's goals and objectives
  • Provide clinical care and mentorship to students, residents, and fellows
  • Secure funding for research and educational initiatives
Requirements
  • MD, DO, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree
  • National recognition as a clinician and academician in gastroenterology and nutrition
  • Proven leadership experience in academic medicine, including administrative positions in medical schools or academic medical centers
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Kentucky
  • Meet University criteria for appointment of Associate or Full Professor
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a Division Chief or Program Director
  • Strong track record of securing research funding
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
