Position Overview:

As an Outpatient Nutrition Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering professional medical nutrition therapy to diverse groups and individuals across various settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized nutrition assessments and develop tailored nutrition plans under minimal supervision.
  • Adhere to the established standards of practice set forth by recognized organizations such as the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the American Diabetes Association.
  • Ensure continuity of care for outpatients requiring specialized medical nutrition therapy.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance the quality of nutrition education services.
  • Support outpatient diabetes education initiatives as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or related field.
  • Active Kentucky Dietitian License.
  • Licensure must be obtained within a specified timeframe for those who are eligible.
