Prestige Staffing is seeking a seasoned Director of Human Resources to join our client's team in a warm weather destination with three courses in the Top 40 You Can Play in the United States.

This role will oversee the property's human resources department, including Recruiters, Trainers, and Human Resources Managers. The successful candidate will develop and implement property-wide human resources strategies, plans, and programs to drive growth and competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide coaching on employee relations issues and HR policies, programs, and processes.
  • Educate management and administrative staff on HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Federal and State laws.
  • Deliver training workshops on key HR programs, including Safety National and Worker's Compensation.
  • Ensure consistency of program applications per Company guidelines and Department of Labor regulations.
  • Develop and implement employee retention strategies and manage property reduction in forces (RIFs).
  • Lead engagement initiatives and monthly events.
  • Manage employee relations issues.
  • Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
  • Analyze data to define cost and policy implications of negotiations and disputes.
  • Conduct research on human resource policies, compensation, and employment issues.
  • Advise and train managers and supervisors on best employee relations practices.
  • Collaborate with leadership on policy and negotiation matters.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel and departments on negotiation and dispute resolution.
  • Analyze compensation for property-level staff.
  • Participate in the Leadership committee.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of state and federal laws concerning labor relations, with 7 to 10 years of professional human resource administration experience, including two years in employee relations preferred OR its equivalent through training, education, and other experience.

  • Able to comprehend, interpret, and apply applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Thorough understanding of negotiation techniques.
  • Experienced in counseling, conflict resolution, performance management, dispute resolution, and compensation administration.
  • Able to remain tactful, calm, and persuasive in controversial situations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Employee Relations, Human Resources, or related field required.
  • Able to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
