Sentara Healthcare is looking for a skilled professional to join our team as a Lead Cloud Security Architect.

Employment Type: Full-time, Day Shift

This role is fully remote but candidates must reside in specific states or be open to relocation.

Eligible States: Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming.

Standard Working Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (ET).

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud security roles, with a solid grasp of cloud platforms and services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud security best practices, cloud-native security tools, and offerings from cloud service providers.
  • Experience with cloud security assessment tools, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud identity and access management (IAM) principles and frameworks.
  • Understanding of networking, encryption, and virtualization technologies in relation to cloud security.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of assessing and communicating cloud security risks effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide security guidance.
  • Proficient in cloud security controls such as IAM, Encryption, Network Security, Compliance, Logging and Monitoring, Vulnerability Management, Disaster Recovery, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
  • Knowledge of various technical frameworks and concepts (MITRE ATT&CK, CIS, Kill Chain, etc.).
  • Experience in a highly regulated environment.
  • Ability to articulate complex technical concepts in business language.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple projects effectively in a dynamic environment.
