Position: Project Construction Supervisor
Company: Apollo Mechanical Contractors
The Project Construction Supervisor will be tasked with managing and executing various facets of construction projects, ensuring that all activities align with company standards and client expectations. Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and forecasting project financials, providing regular updates to senior management through the company's financial reporting systems.
- Coordinating and scheduling subcontractors in collaboration with site supervisors and clients.
- Assisting the project development team in defining the scope of work and establishing guaranteed maximum construction costs through thorough site evaluations and risk assessments.
- Creating and overseeing project schedules using critical path method (CPM) techniques.
- Managing client change orders by preparing estimates, proposals, and engaging in negotiations.
- Overseeing subcontractors and vendors through effective communication and management of subcontract scopes and changes.
- Documenting and maintaining records of all essential project communications.
- Leading and documenting project meetings to ensure all stakeholders are informed.
- Providing mentorship to assigned team members.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and foster future opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated sound judgment, diplomacy, and tact in professional interactions.
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of project budgets.
- Technical proficiency in interpreting drawings, specifications, and other technical documents, with a preference for experience in mechanical HVAC systems.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with CPM scheduling tools such as Primavera or MS Project.
Education and Experience Requirements
- A relevant Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience managing projects within the construction sector.
