Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician - Infrastructure Management to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our infrastructure assets, including roads, bridges, and other critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on infrastructure assets, including roads, bridges, and other critical infrastructure.
  • Traffic Control: Set up and remove traffic control devices, including cones, message boards, and temporary signage, to ensure safe traffic flow.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate a variety of equipment, including large trucks, specialized motor vehicles, and trailers, to transport crew and equipment to work sites.
  • Vegetation Management: Maintain the appearance and growth of vegetation along highways and medians through the use of lawn mowing equipment, hand or power trimmers, and chemical sprayers.
  • Sign and Guardrail Maintenance: Repair and replace signs, guardrails, and fencing to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow.
  • Emergency Response: Be available and accessible for emergency response rotations, including overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: One year of work experience in infrastructure maintenance and repair preferred.
  • License: Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
  • Skills: Ability to work safely, recognize hazards, and make adjustments to avoid loss, injury, or accident. Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
Work Environment

The employee will be regularly exposed to traffic and outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. The employee will occasionally be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high precarious places, fume or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment will be moderate to high.

Physical Demands

The employee will be required to stand, sit, walk on a wide range of surfaces, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Use manual and powered pneumatic, hydraulic, gas, and electric powered tools and equipment. Vision abilities include both close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
