KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrate proficiency in executing both rough and finish carpentry tasks at a journeyman level.
- Analyze project plans and blueprints for effective execution.
- Estimate necessary time, materials, equipment, and supplies for projects.
- Monitor production rates for self-performed tasks.
- Develop work schedules and assign crew responsibilities.
- Record daily time using the Swinerton timekeeping system.
- Create and manage Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), ensuring crews operate safely and are adequately trained.
- Maintain operational records meticulously.
- Oversee inventory levels and requisition supplies and equipment as needed.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of work areas.
- Adopt a proactive approach to identify and resolve potential challenges.
- Engage with clients and contractors in a professional manner.
- Guarantee timely completion of carpentry projects in alignment with Swinerton standards.
- Guide, mentor, and assess employee performance.
- Coordinate safety training for crews regarding equipment and tools.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Possession of a current Journeyman Carpenter license/certificate (if mandated by local regulations).
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory carpenter role or equivalent.
- Extensive knowledge of rough and finish carpentry, including tools, materials, safety practices, and construction techniques.
- Exhibit strong hand-eye coordination, mathematical aptitude, physical strength, stamina, and attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency is required.
- Ability to lift and/or pull 75 lbs, climb ladders, and work from heights.
- Capability to maintain a standing position for extended periods and perform physical tasks while equipped with a tool belt.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
- Commitment to uphold Swinerton's Core Values of Integrity, Leadership, Passion, and Excellence.
- Adherence to all safety practices and procedures as outlined by OSHA and Swinerton.
- Support activities at all Swinerton job sites as directed.
