ROLE DESCRIPTION

This seasonal position is part of the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and involves executing clerical tasks pertinent to the program managed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

The Administrative Support Specialist will undertake a variety of administrative responsibilities that will bolster the team's capacity to deliver exceptional services to the residents of Pennsylvania. This role entails engaging in diverse clerical and general office tasks by adhering to established office protocols and utilizing relevant systems. You will interact with the public in a respectful and professional manner, both face-to-face and over the phone. Basic computer skills will be employed to execute various office functions, including data entry, customer support, document scanning, filing, answering calls, and managing correspondence. Duties are performed under the general oversight of a Clerical Supervisor.


WORK SCHEDULE AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
  • Seasonal full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch break
  • This role may require travel and overtime as necessary.
  • Work Environment: Assigned tasks are conducted in a structured office setting. Employees may be reassigned to different locations based on operational requirements.
  • Compensation: New hires will commence employment at an annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS AND ELIGIBILITY

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
  • Applicants must meet the residency requirement.
  • Preference may be given to candidates residing within the designated area.
  • Applicants must be capable of performing essential job functions.
