ROLE DESCRIPTION

As an Administrative Support Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to provide essential support to the Director of Volunteer Resources, who oversees the effectiveness and achievements of the Volunteer Resources Department. Your tasks will include:

  • Creating forms, informational brochures, flyers, promotional content, appeal letters, and thank-you correspondence.
  • Maintaining budget account databases for tracking donations and volunteer-related information.
  • Facilitating communication with donors, board members, and staff, both via telephone and in person.
  • Organizing and managing directories and electronic records.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time position, requiring a 37.5-hour work week.
  • Standard work hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break.
  • Schedule may be adjusted based on operational requirements.
  • Complimentary parking is provided.
  • Compensation: The starting salary may be fixed in certain cases.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ELIGIBILITY

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • At least six months of experience as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
  • High school diploma; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • Applicants must meet the residency requirements for Pennsylvania.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions is necessary.

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional job offer will necessitate a medical examination.
  • This position is subject to the Older Adult Protective Services Act, requiring satisfactory criminal history checks, including PA State Police and FBI clearance.
