Job Overview:

The Boeing Commercial Airplanes' (BCA) Commercial Item Transfer at Price (CITAP) team is on the lookout for skilled Engineers (Level 3) to enhance our operations in Everett, WA. The CITAP engineers play a crucial role in delivering engineering expertise and integrating CITAP contracts and initiatives on behalf of BCA and BGS-C. This role involves the transition of intercompany projects from non-commercial entities (such as US Military, FAA, NASA, and Foreign Governments) to commercial sectors (BCA and BGS-C) under specific guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

The CITAP Engineering Specialist will oversee the Statement of Work (SOW) through three critical phases of the CITAP Lifecycle:

  • Development:
    • Collaborate with requesting and performing organizations to create a comprehensive SOW with well-defined tasks, deliverables, and assumptions.
    • Estimate and price the SOW accurately.
    • Facilitate proposal acceptance with Work Authorization.
  • Execution:
    • Manage project plans, schedules, costs, and deliverables effectively.
    • Implement change management strategies.
    • Mitigate risks and address issues proactively.
  • Closure/Billing:
    • Validate requirements thoroughly.
    • Reconcile tasks and deliverables against the SOW intent and organizational requirements.
    • Prepare for billing and closure submissions.

This position requires compliance with Export Control regulations, necessitating a "US Person" as defined by relevant laws.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in complex engineering or integration roles.
  • At least 5 years of engineering experience in a relevant function.
  • Strong skills and knowledge in project and risk management.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects and influence stakeholders across various organizations.
  • Experience in developing engineering statements of work.
  • Experience in managing intricate projects.
  • Adaptability and comfort with variable work statements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Experience with the service life cycle of aerospace products.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education and experience typically acquired through advanced technical education in engineering (e.g., Bachelor's degree) and generally 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
