Key Responsibilities:


• Develops intricate designs, final specifications, cost assessments, and offers maintenance assistance for the civil and structural aspects of buildings, equipment installations, utility frameworks, and grounds.


• Collaborates with various engineering disciplines, external consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless integration of activities.


• Aligns civil and structural designs with client specifications, building regulations, and relevant standards by leveraging knowledge of construction methodologies, practices, and materials.


• Ensures the precision of drawing archives by evaluating contractor modifications and identifying discrepancies to adhere to regulatory standards, facility protocols, and documentation retention policies.


• Aids construction processes by providing insights on vendor selection; reviews contractor submissions; engages with regulatory agencies; monitors project timelines and vendor performance.


• Prepares and communicates project information to guarantee adherence to relevant construction documents and jurisdictional standards to fulfill project goals.


• Produces and/or acquires detailed design documentation. Utilizes appropriate resources to generate project documents in line with project specifications.


• Translates client requirements into design alternatives with documentation and cost estimates. Identifies suitable materials, equipment, and services by applying engineering principles and methodologies.


• Updates design standards and site-specific operational procedures to establish uniform practices.


• With minimal oversight, engages in infrastructure planning and decision-making processes. Plans, manages, and executes projects effectively.


• Supports the analysis of existing conditions and future needs; collects data and collaborates with clients to identify and evaluate alternatives and impacts.


• Gathers client requirements for inclusion in conceptual designs.


• Participates in code research and the formulation of initial project timelines to define project scope.


• Creates, maintains, and communicates project management information. Assists in documenting and formulating contract scope.


• Interprets and evaluates applicable regulations, standards, codes, and ordinances concerning project requirements.


• Proposes project alternatives to ensure compliance. Provides necessary support to secure permits.

Basic Qualifications:


• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering.


• 5+ years of relevant experience in civil engineering, construction, facilities management, maintenance, and/or project management.


• 3+ years of experience interpreting and understanding engineering drawings, schematics, and construction specifications.


• 3+ years of experience utilizing AutoCAD or similar design software.

Preferred Qualifications:


• Experience applying engineering principles and techniques to deliver technical solutions to complex challenges while adhering to local and federal regulations.


• Experience leading and collaborating within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.


• Ability to frequently engage and collaborate with personnel across various organizational levels, including project managers, construction managers, maintenance teams, and contractors.
