About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Specialist to join our team at Delphinus Engineering, Inc. in Everett, WA. As a Safety Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and contractors working in the shipyard environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate worksites to identify job hazards and establish effective controls to mitigate risks.
  • Coordinate with site personnel to enforce compliance with company safety policies, contract requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct accident investigations, analyze results, and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs to promote a culture of safety and health awareness.
  • Perform daily safety inspections onboard ships and at other worksites to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years of experience working as a safety professional in a shipyard or ship repair environment.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA 1910 & 1915 Standards and NAVSEA Standard Items.
  • Basic computer skills for writing reports and effective communication.
  • Working knowledge of technical equipment for noise monitoring, paint sampling, and air monitoring.
  • Active secret security clearance or ability to obtain one.
