Position Overview:

The Structural Design Engineer is responsible for the development, integration, and documentation of structural and interior payload system requirements, which are essential for establishing robust system designs. This role involves the creation, maintenance, and modification of structural and interior payload system designs and components utilizing advanced 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and other innovative design methodologies. The engineer will provide comprehensive product definitions to various engineering teams, production operations, suppliers, and external clients throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the performance, integration, and analysis of tests to ensure systems and components meet specified requirements and standards.
  • Oversee supplier development, testing, and production activities, collaborating with suppliers to enhance design and achieve program objectives.
  • Assist in exploring emerging technologies to formulate concepts for future product designs that align with anticipated requirements.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Catia software.
  • Experience in creating layouts and technical drawings.
  • Background in structural design for commercial aircraft and related structures.
  • Ability to facilitate integration with global teams, providing leadership and mentorship to colleagues.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Additional Requirements:

Candidates must possess one of the following degrees: BS/MS in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering.
