This position is designed for individuals with a robust background in patient registration and a comprehensive understanding of healthcare reimbursement processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure secure handling and precise documentation of payments collected during service delivery.
  • Utilize customer service expertise and healthcare coverage knowledge to assist a diverse range of clients, patients, and families in the registration process.
  • Address routine patient inquiries and escalate complex registration issues to senior team members as necessary.
  • Engage in projects of moderate complexity, contributing to the overall efficiency of the department.
  • Welcome patients and initiate the registration process, maintaining professional communication with all stakeholders involved.
  • Meet established productivity and performance metrics while adhering to departmental priorities.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all individuals encountered in the course of duties.
  • Perform a variety of responsibilities across all areas of Patient Access Services operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant work experience is necessary.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Epic, insurance websites, and point-of-service payment systems is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and eligibility requirements for various healthcare programs is crucial.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills are required to interact with patients and staff at all levels.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, managing complexity and stress effectively.
  • Capacity to multitask with a keen attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented mindset is essential for collaboration and support.

Compensation
The base pay scale typically starts at $35.14 per hour, with the final salary determined by various factors including experience and qualifications.
