Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a positive and welcoming experience for patients and their families, ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in process.
  • Verify patient information, schedule appointments, and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Facilitate intake procedures, including completion of healthcare and insurance forms, and collect payments for services.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction.
  • Adhere to all organizational, local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety.
  • Perform specific tasks and/or orient other staff to the department as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience.
  • 1 year of recent relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Basic knowledge of insurance policies and procedures, as well as patient billing.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies and procedures.
  • General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
